Demo Video Shoooooot

Whoo hoo, tomorrow morning I will be meeting up with several massage friends to video demos. Hiring a professional can be too expensive until you are rolling in the money, money, moooneey. So, getting a group together to help out is cost cutting and fun.

We be Vlogging, baby. Videos post Online are a great way to show people what ya got to offer. Services are intangilbe, thus difficult to evaluate, compare, and buy. The video allows consumers to see and hear your service. People tend t…

Out-of-the-Box Teachers

It is time to pull teaching out-of-the-box. For me, teachers are those who purvey knowledge and facilitate mental, physical, or spiritual learning. Teachers are everywhere helping others in a lifetime of learning. We are nurtured by parent teachers, tuteled by schoolhouse teachers, guided by health care teachers, mentored by job site teachers, and inspired by spiritual teachers. It is limiting to box teachers in grade schools and college campuses. I see WeAreTeachers as a way of letting Educatio…

Above all, service providers need clients. Everything else is secondary.

Above all, service providers need clients. Everything else is secondary. With more and more clients logging onto the Internet, service providers need a Web presence that fits their microbusiness's budget. Luckily, Web 2.0 tools, like WeAreTeachers, make that more possible.

Keeping and attracting ideal clients is both crucial and challenge for service providers. Without clients there is no service. More importantly, there is no cash flow. While teachers, trainers,...,and therapists are e…

Attracting Ideal Clients in a Web 2.0 World

Widespread high-speed Internet access has changed how people manage their time and their life. Online shoppers look first to the Web for their every need. These wealthier, more educated clients have the willingness and ability to pay for the services that support their busy lives.

Web 2.0 better fits a service providers strengths and budget. As the smallest of small businesses, they can ill afford big business marketing campaigns. Most independent service providers lack the high volume…

Endearing Dyslexia

At 10 years old, I remember mom taking me to the Texas A&I, now A&M at Kingsville, for a test. That is the first time I heard the word, "dyslexia". From 4th to 12th grade during parent-teacher meetings, my mom would bring up this word. Most teachers just blankly stared back as I hung my red face ofembarrassment. I distinctly remember one teacher saying, "But, he is making the highest grade in the class." Yes, I am one of the lucky ones. I developed coping skills on my own. Dyslexia force…

Meri, Thanks for point out Marco Torres'. Video is a HUGE op. Affordable technology has open a portal to a new world of access. Enrolling students (end users) into the collaborative content production process has an exponential effect.

Jason, reading your blog and seeing your profile makes me wish I was still in Austin so we could go to coffee LIVE. You're just the kind of mind I'd like to have involved in the issues I want to raise in this community.

Do you know Marco Torres' films and his work with his students? I'd love to have your thoughts and feelings about the one I posted on my page... and I'd also like to invite you to join the "reinventing public education" group conversation here. Your perspective would be very useful to me... and I think also to that group. More later!

Kelly the Good... nice! The video was great - clear, concise, and easy to follow. I especially liked the pect stretch. My experience at Texas Healing Arts was wonderful, and I feel that I'm starting out with a really solid background.
I look forward to reading what you've written!
