I too have a competitive side, and I actually turned in those tickets in the boxes at the exhibit hall and actually one a $100 from that drawing at the TMEA General Mtg!! At 6:33am on August 9th, 2007, Linda Markert said…: I'm glad your son enjoyed choir. It was John's first year teaching. He did the alternative certification coming from a BA and master's in organ performance. He never had student teaching so he wasn't prepared at all for 5th and 6th graders! It was a difficult year for him---like many of us music teachers, he was and is, his own worst critic. But he seems to have found his niche in HS, plus he has a church job as Director of Music at Zion Lutheran in Heights neighborhood of Houston.
